The Shelf, By Form
Jeff's own line for the place: we grow it, we sell it. Seven forms move through the cases at 978 Payne Ave — flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes, concentrates, drinks and topicals — and when a jar or bag says Aroma on the label, it was cured a few miles from where you're standing, when in stock. Nothing on this page has a price on it; the live menu is the only thing that moves as fast as the shelf does.

Seven forms, one counter
Open a form
Start with how you like to take it. Every form below moves through the same two cases at Payne Ave — ask at the counter and staff will walk you to it. What's actually behind the glass changes week to week; the live menu is the accurate count, not this page.

Flower
Whole bud, jarred and labelled. When it says Aroma, we grew it ourselves. When in stock.

Pre-Rolls
Rolled and ready — singles and multi-packs, for when you don't feel like doing the work.

Edibles
Portioned by milligram on the label. Read it, then give it real time before more.

Vapes
Cartridges and all-in-ones. Bring your battery or ask which thread you need.

Concentrates
The strong end of the case. New to this category? Say so and we'll walk you through it.

Drinks
Cold cans in the case. Same rule as edibles — the label tells you how much is in there.

Topicals
Balms and drops for local use. This is the category most worth a call ahead to check.

Small licence. Every job.
A microbusiness is the small licence that does every job
New York created the microbusiness licence for a small, local operator to grow, process and sell its own cannabis at one retail location — instead of buying finished goods from separate farms, processors and distributors. Aroma is that operator, and keeping it that way is the whole point of the shop.
- What it covers
- Cultivating, processing, distributing and selling cannabis grown under the same licence, at a single storefront.
- What it limits
- One store — ours, at 978 Payne Ave — capped at a scale one operator can actually stand behind. No second location, no franchise.
- Why it's the focus here
- When a jar or bag on this page says Aroma, the people behind the counter are the people who grew it.

- North Tonawanda only
- In NY cannabis since 2019

Made in partnership with Aroma
Bison Botanics, grown under our licence
Made in partnership with Aroma — Bison Botanics jars produced under our licence, when in stock: Cherry Pie, Funk Juice, White Widow, Ocean Fruit, Tropicana, Cookies & Cream, Nana Glue. Grown by us outright, in our own bags: Blue Dream, Clementine and Grand Daddy Purple.
These are real examples from our own cases, not a standing promise. A harvest sells through, a new one cures — check the live menu for what's actually on the shelf today. We don't claim every jar in the shop is Aroma-grown; the brands we're proud to feature are on this page too.

Section 06 · The counter
The price on the tag is the price you pay
No mental arithmetic at the counter. New York cannabis tax is already built into every price on our shelf, so the number you read is the number you hand over.
Tax, already in
The shelf price is the whole price. Nothing gets added at the register.
One licence, one counter
Grown, cured and sold under a single roof — fewer hands taking a cut on the way to the case.
No membership required
Ask anything at the counter — the person answering has a real answer, no script.
General education, not a guarantee
The clocks
Every form hits differently. These are typical ranges, not promises — your own chemistry, tolerance and dose still decide the visit.
| Form | Onset | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Flower | Instant | 2–4 hours |
| Pre-rolls | Instant | 2–4 hours |
| Vapes | 2–5 minutes | 2–3 hours |
| Concentrates | Instant | 2–4 hours |
| Edibles | 30–90 minutes | 4–8 hours |
| Drinks | 15–45 minutes | 2–4 hours |
| Topicals | Local, typically non-intoxicating | |
Anything that takes 30 minutes or more to arrive is worth a full two hours before you decide it "isn't working." Friendly guidance, not medical advice.
How it works
Reserve on the live menu, pick it up on Payne Ave
Three steps. Most of the wait is the drive over, not the counter.
There is no delivery — pickup only, in the shop.

On the shelf
The brands we're proud to feature
Three names Jeff puts front and center: our own house brand, and two others he asked for by name.
Aroma
Grown and cured under our own microbusiness licence. Ask what's currently in the jars.
Bison Botanics
One of two outside brands Jeff asked to see featured on the site.
Native Nations Cannabis
The other — a brand customers ask for by name.
Other names pass through the cases too — Kiefers, Left Coast New York, Skyworld, Nanticoke, MFNY, Ayrloom, Dank, High Peak, Plug Pack, Strange Brew, Tough Cookies, Nasty Ego and Galaxy glass, and Level, among them. Seen in the cases, not promised in stock:
Seen in our cases as of 10 Sep 2026. Names and stock change weekly — the live menu is the only accurate count.
The standard
Every legal product in New York gets lab-tested before it reaches a shelf.
That's the state's rule, not a marketing line — a licensed lab, a batch number, a label tying the two together. Ask to see it and staff will pull it up.
Every batch carries a lab result before it's legal to sell. Ask and we'll show you.
NY LAB-TESTEDOur own harvests move from case to counter without a fourth company in between.
WHEN IN STOCKGrown, cured and sold at a single North Tonawanda address — no second store.

Inside
It's one room, and it's a nice one
No queue system, no wall of screens, no upsell script. One case, one counter, and somebody who'll actually talk to you about what's in it. Jeff's three words for this place: personable, knowledgeable, fun.
- Everything is out where you can see it. Point at things, ask what it smells like.
- The leaf floor mat by the door reads "It's in the Air" — the line we put on everything.
- Real plants on the shelves behind the counter. We can't help ourselves.
Before you drive over
Shop questions
Can I reserve something before I drive over?
Yes — build your order on the live menu, then come in with ID to pay and pick it up. There is no delivery; it's pickup only, in the shop.
Do you have a rewards or email list?
Yes — join Aroma's email and text list and we'll let you know what's new. No prices or deals are posted here; the list is where that goes.
What if what I want isn't in the case?
As a microbusiness we're a small operation, and the shelf turns over week to week. Call ahead or check the live menu before a special trip — we'd rather tell you honestly than have you drive over for nothing.
