We grow it. We sell it.

Aroma is a New York State cannabis microbusiness at 978 Payne Ave — one licence covering the whole run, from a hemp pilot program in 2019 to the counter you'd stand at today. Here's what that licence actually is, and how we got here.

The short version

What "microbusiness" actually means

Most dispensaries are the last stop on a long chain — a farm somewhere, a processor somewhere else, a distributor, a brand, then a shelf. Aroma isn't built that way. New York issued us a microbusiness licence, which is the small licence that lets one operator handle several stages of the process itself — growing, processing and selling — at a single retail location, instead of buying finished product from separate companies.

What it covers
Growing, curing, packaging and selling under one roof and one licence. In practice, the plant and the counter belong to the same people.
What it limits
It's deliberately small. A microbusiness runs one retail location — ours, at 978 Payne Ave — with no second store and no head office anywhere else.
Why it matters to you
Fewer companies between the crop and the case means the person answering your question about a jar usually has a real answer, because they were there for it.
We grow it. We sell it. It's in the air.

Seven years, plain and in order

Morris Hemp grew into Aroma

We didn't open a dispensary and go looking for a supplier. In Jeff's own words: Morris Hemp LLC was the OG company, formed in 2019 as a CBD company under the New York State Hemp Pilot Program. That ran three years, then the crop changed to cannabis grown outdoors for two more, and that transitioned into the microbusiness we run today as Aroma, opening September 8, 2025.

Bison Botanics, grown under our licence

Made in partnership with Aroma — Bison Botanics jars produced under our licence, when in stock: Cherry Pie, Funk Juice, White Widow, Ocean Fruit, Tropicana, Cookies & Cream and Nana Glue. It rotates with the season, the same as any real crop does.

We won't tell you every product in the case came off our own plants — it doesn't. What we grow outright, we're proud to say so on the bag.

One licence, one address

The usual chain has five hands in it. Ours has one.

A typical shelf passes through a farm, a processor, a distributor and a brand before it ever reaches a shop. Every hand in between is another company, another markup, another layer between you and the person who actually grew the thing. Aroma's microbusiness licence collapses that into one address: 978 Payne Ave, start to finish.

Bagged, not just jarred

The bags carry the same name

Alongside the Bison Botanics jars, Aroma's own flower has come packaged in black bags — Blue Dream, Clementine and Grand Daddy Purple among them. Same rule everywhere on this page: when you see the Aroma label, it's ours; when you don't, ask us and we'll tell you straight.

Before you ask at the counter

Questions about the licence

Is everything in the case grown by Aroma?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. When a jar or bag carries the Aroma label, it's ours. Other brands seen in the cases are stocked, not grown here — ask at the counter and we'll tell you which is which.

What does OCM-MICR-24-000207 mean?
